**Body of Hassan Nasrallah Recovered; Israel Claims 'More Than 20' Hezbollah Members Killed in Strikes**

Israeli airstrikes have resulted in the death of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, along with at least 20 other militants. His body was found intact, suggesting death from blunt force trauma. Hezbollah has confirmed the loss of several high-ranking officials amid ongoing military operations.

The body of the slain Hezbollah leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, was recovered on Sunday as Israeli bombardment of Lebanon continued. According to a Reuters report, the body showed no direct wounds, indicating that the cause of death was likely blunt trauma from the blast. Hezbollah confirmed his death on Saturday but did not provide further details regarding the circumstances or the timing of his funeral.

Hezbollah has acknowledged the deaths of at least seven high-ranking officials in recent days, including founding members who had managed to evade death or capture for decades. Among those confirmed dead is senior commander Ali Karaki, who led the southern front.

This news follows the Israeli military’s announcement of strikes on “dozens” of new targets on Sunday and the reported death of another high-ranking official, Nabil Kaouk. The military stated that the strike that killed Nasrallah also “eliminated” more than 20 other members of the Lebanese group.

“More than 20 other terrorists of various ranks, present at the underground headquarters in Beirut located beneath civilian buildings and managing Hezbollah's operations against Israel, were also eliminated,” the military said in a statement.

Nasrallah and other top commanders had convened in Beirut to strategize against Israel when the attack occurred on Friday. Reports indicate that the Israeli military utilized nearly 80 tons of explosives to target the heavily fortified bunker situated more than 60 feet underground. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi accused Israel of using “several 5,000-pound bunker busters gifted to them by the US” shortly after the attack.

These recent strikes mark a significant escalation in nearly a year of tit-for-tat exchanges between Hezbollah and Israel since the onset of the Gaza conflict, raising concerns about the potential for a wider regional war.
